Disability Inclusion
At Somerville Rise Primary School, we are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student can participate, learn and thrive. Disability Inclusion is a Victorian Government initiative delivered through the Department of Education, designed to strengthen inclusive practices in schools and improve outcomes for students with disability.
What Disability Inclusion Delivers
Disability Inclusion increases support for students with disability through:
The Disability Inclusion Profile is completed collaboratively by the student (where appropriate), families, school staff and other professionals, supported by a trained facilitator.
Working in Partnership
Somerville Rise Primary School works closely with families to support student learning, wellbeing and inclusion. Families are encouraged to speak with their child’s teacher or a member of the leadership team to learn more about Disability Inclusion and available supports.
