Student Support Services:
Student Support Services work in partnership with schools, families and external agencies to support student wellbeing, inclusion, engagement and learning, particularly for students with additional or complex needs.

At Somerville Rise Primary School, student wellbeing is supported through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
Our Tier 1 universal approaches ensure all students develop strong social and emotional skills through whole-school frameworks based on Berry Street Education Model and Respectful Relationships model.
For students requiring additional support, Tier 2 targeted wellbeing programs provide small-group intervention focused on building emotional regulation, communication, social skills and independence. These supports are data-informed, time-limited and delivered in a supportive, inclusive environment. To support multiple exposure for students in these sessions we ensure that the Zones of Regulation focus links in with the current BSEM and RR work that is occurring in our classrooms.
