Chaplaincy services aim to support the emotional wellbeing of students by providing pastoral care services and strategies that support the emotional wellbeing of the broader school community.
Pastoral care means looking after the wellbeing and personal needs of students, not just their academic needs.
Chaplaincy services in our school may be provided in any of the following forms:
Trish, Our Chaplain’s, approach is holistic, and her role as School Chaplain is to support the emotional, social and mental well-being of the children (and their families), and to help them find strategies to deal with problems and to move forward successfully with ongoing, caring support.
Trish works at Somerville Rise Primary School on Mondays and Tuesdays.
