As we come to the end of another school year, I find myself reflecting on just how special our school community is. Somie Rise Primary School is more than a place of learning – it is a community built on care, connection and shared commitment to our children, and I am incredibly proud to be part of it, there are not many schools like ours!
Throughout the year, our students have shown remarkable growth — not just in their learning, but in their confidence, kindness and willingness to support one another. Seeing our students arrive each day ready to learn, challenge themselves and look out for their peers is a constant reminder of why the work we do together matters so much. Thank you for being the reason we love coming to work each day! We are so incredibly proud of every one of you.
I want to sincerely thank our staff, who give so much of themselves to our students every day. Their dedication, professionalism and genuine care for the children in their classrooms does not go unnoticed. Somie Rise is fortunate to have such a committed and passionate team supporting our students and families every day.
To our families and carers, thank you for the trust you place in us and for the strong partnership you bring to our school. Whether it’s supporting learning at home, attending events, volunteering time or simply having open conversations with staff, your involvement makes a real difference to the experiences and success of our students.
As the year draws to a close, I hope the summer holiday break provides time to slow down, reconnect and celebrate the many achievements – big and small – that have occurred throughout the year. It is well deserved.
I look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year, ready for another year of learning, growth and connection at Somerville Rise Primary School. Until then, I wish you and your families a safe, restful and happy holiday season.
Keep living the dream!
