THE Arts

At SRPS our aim is that all students will leave with an appreciation for The Arts which include Visual and Performing Arts.  The Arts enables students to develop their creative and expressive capacities by learning about different practices, disciplines and traditions that have shaped the expression of culture in our world.  Students will gain an appreciation of being an artist and audience in The Arts.

In Performing Arts students will explore Dance, Drama and Music. Whilst in Visual Arts students explore the world of visual representation and expression. The Arts curriculum is structured around four interdependent strands, each of which involves making and responding.

These include

  • explore and express ideas
  • practices
  • present and perform
  • respond and interpret.

Our Performing and Visual Arts programs offer students a wide variety of engaging and hands on activities where students can explore and express themselves to increase learning. Students learning is showcased through talent and art shows, concerts, dances performances and instrumental exploration.
