Message from Lauren Jelleff, Somerville Rise acting Principal for Term 2 2026✨

Welcome to Term 2 at Somerville Rise Primary School.

Term 1 was a fantastic start to the year, with a strong focus on building positive relationships with our students, establishing consistent routines and processes across the school, and creating calm, purposeful classrooms that maximise learning time.

As we move into Term 2, we have hit the ground running with explicit instruction in reading, writing and mathematics, ensuring all students are supported to make strong learning growth. This term, students will also be engaging in rich learning experiences in Science and History.

Our student leaders continue to play an important role in our school community. Our Student Leaders proudly represented the school at the ANZAC Day service, while our Sustainability Leaders are busy planning the Clean Up Somerville initiative at the Yumarrala Wetlands. Our Sports Leaders will support the upcoming Cross Country event, and our Technology Leaders continue to assist and lead across all things tech.

It’s shaping up to be a busy and exciting term of learning and leadership!
